Baby fever....I never really understood what people were talking about they would say "I just saw so and so's baby for the first time and now I have a bad case of baby fever." that is until now. EVERYONE around me is either pregnant or they just had a baby.
I finally got to meet my niece for the first time last weekend! Bryleigh Grace enter the world on October 17th. She is just the sweetest, tiniest little peanut. After holding her for a but this weekend I went and picked up Isla and it hit me SHE IS HUGE. Not really but compared to a 3 week old my 6 month old seems like a giant. I also realized as I watch Bryleigh just lay there, barely moving a muscle that Isla is no longer my tiny, snuggley, little baby. She is now my 15 lb, rolling, baby food, almost crawling half a year old child.
I now understand the term baby fever. And when it hits it hit hard. I am hoping like all fevers that it can be cured with a few tylenols but...I doubt it. The hubby says we are DONE with babies. I on the other hand could handle having just one more. But we will just have to wait and see. It also doesn't help that I have gone to 2 babyshowers in the past 3 weeks and I have 2 more before the year is up. At least it give me an excuse to go shopping :)

1 week down
Last week was Natalie's first full week of school. Things are really going great! Everyday I look forward to her getting off the bus, running across the yard yelling "Mommy! Mommy! Guess what I learned today?" Over the weekend she oust different things and tell me if they were a solid, liquid or gas. She is getting so smart.
Tonight is her schools "Back to School" night. She is so excited to show us her classroom and for us to meet her teacher. The only thing she isn't looking forward to is taking Noah with us. She asked if he could go to grandma's. When I asked why she informed me that he annoys her and she doesn't want him to go. I'm not quite sure what a 2 year old does to annoy a 6 year old but whatever it is he must do it.
On a unrelated note...last Friday was the hubbies golden birthday! We didn't do a whole lot to celebrate. We just hung out around the house. Although we did go to his parents house for Mario's pizza (his favorite shrimp and black olives) and DQ icecream cake. And what was his fav gift this year you ask....his pressure cooker of course!

Lions and Tigers and Bears....Oh My
And otters and snakes and every animal under the sun. Over the weekend we surprised the kids and took a mini family vaca to Nebraska. On Saturday we loaded up the truck and hit the road. Bryan and I were in the front, my mom in the middle seat, and Natalie and Noah in the back. We decided to leave Isla with Bry's parents. Even though I was sad to leave her I knew thr bigger kids would have more fun without her. That way we didn't have to constantly have to stop to feed her and change her. And I think is parents were pretty excited to have her for 3 days.
We left Saturday morning around 10 am. We stopped in Davenport around 1 for lunch. We went to a family owned restraunt called The Machine Shed. We have eaten there a few time before and are never disapointed. Noah loved it. Mainly because of the tractors both outside and inside the restraunt. We finally arrived in Council Bluffs Iowa around 7. After checking in we got a bite to eat and went to bed.
Sunday morning we went down for breakfast and got ready. The kids still had no idea where we were going. When we got to the Omaha Zoo they were so suprised. The even bigger surprise was that Aunt La La, Uncle K-dawg and their cousin Aiden would be at the same zoo the same day! The look on their faces when they walked up to us was priceless.
They has such a great day at the zoo. We didn't get to see it all in one day so we decided to go back on Monday too. Natalie's favorite part of the zoo was the aquarium. She was amazed by all the differet types of fish. She was so excited to see the sharks swimming above us. She kept telling me "one day I'm gonna swim with sharks like that" she is the only 6 year old I know that would rather watch shark week than the Disney channel. Noah really seemed to like the petting zoo. He didn't want to leave the goats alone. (I know what type of pet he wants) he was also in awe of the penguins. He would run up and down the tank as they swam back and forth. I barely even looked at the animals. I was busy watching their little faces every time they saw a new animal. Although I did put Bryan incharge of Nat and Noah when we were looking at the monkeys. It is my favorite part of any zoo. It is a great zoo to take the family to. I highly recomended it and can see us going back very soon. This time with Isla.
Although it was a VERY long drive it was well worth it. Even if I did have to hear "Where are we going?","Are we almost there?" and "I have to go potty!" every 15 minutes.

Back to work
I recently discovered that staying at home just wasn't for me. Don't get me wrong I loved being at home with Nat and Noah but I never had time for myself. With Bryan's work schedule it was impossible for me to even have 10 minutes to myself. Although I don't get alot of time for myself while at work I do get out of the house! I am currently working at All About Eyes as a doctors tech. I really like enjoy working there. And the beat part about it is I DONT have to wear panty hose like at the last job I had. I hated having to wear them everyday. I do miss being home and watching my little mans every move or going to everyone of Natalie's fieldtrips.
While I was looking for a job Bryan was very supportive and even helped me look for jobs online :) While I am at work he stays at home with the kids. I didn't think I would ever get to see him because as soon as I get home he heads straight for bed. I do get to see him doe a few hours on Saturday but, that all depends on how tired he is from working the night before. Sundays have become our day. I do not work on Sundays so we rarely make plans that day. It is the day where we can do whatever or nothing at all. Just me, him and our two babies!

Big Spenders
It is that time of the year again...tax return time. Bryan and I are patiently waiting to get ours back. Although I think I spent it already. There are a number of things that I really want. The first thing we are getting is a new camera. I lost ours a the zoo in Peoria last April and haven't had one since. So all the pictures that I have of Noah have been given to me. Although I did borrow my mom's camera for awhile. So if anyone has any suggestions on a good camera let me know:)
Our second purchase will be a new computer. I really want to get a laptop. However I know absolutely nothing about computers (except how to use them) So I do not know which ones are good or bad. We don't need anything fancy. Just something to check our email, upload pictures and that is it! Again...any suggestions would be great.
After the 2 main purchases are taken care of I get to go SHOPPING! I really haven't bought any clothes since Noah was born. Just a shirt here and there. So I am going all out. I rarely buy anthing for myself. The kiddos are set for clothes right now and Bryan only wears "real" clothes once maybe twice a week. (it is either old jeans and a t-shirt while working on the farm or his work uniform) By the way...the new wardrobe was actually Bryan's idea. But, I am not sure if it is because he loves me or because he is sick and tired of hearing me say "UGHHH I have NOTHING to wear!!!" I'm guess a little bit of both. ;)

Time to start babyproofing!
Well that time has finally come...it has been almost 2 years since my house has been babyproof! Now that Natalie is almost 5 she knows what she can and can't touch and get in to (although she doesn't always follow those rules) She knows she is not aloud to plug anything in and to stay away from the fireplace. However, Noah is unaware of these rules (and he is only 6 months old and doesnt quite understand) Since he has decided that he is going to rolling wherever he pleases and has been getting up on his hands and knees and tries to crawl I feel that it is time that I start preparing our house.
When Natalie was little I had a plug protector in every outlet and she never once tried to mess with them. I also had the locks on all of the cabinets underneath the sinks and yet she never once tried to get into them. She did however take an intrest in the fireplace which is surrounded by about 4 inches of brick. I was slways afraid that she would crack her head on them so I surrounded the brick with plain old pillows. This time around I want something a little nicer.
Goals for next week...
#1 baby proof the house
#2 shop for decorative pillows
#3 snuggle with my little man...Natalie will be in Iowa till next friday :(

Home Alone
I love spending time with Nat and Noah. However...every now and then Bry and I need some alone time. Yesterday morning Natalie decided that she wanted to stay the night with her Grandma Nancy. Which really wasn't a shock to me since she has a bigger social life than me and rarely stays at home. So I figured it would be just me, Bryan and Noah at home watching tv for the night. (Noah would probably be more interested in chewing on his hands then whats on tv to be honest.) When Bryan got home we decided to go out to dinner at Red Lobster (YUM) with our friend Nick. Dinner was AMAZING! Bryan then had the brilliant idea of going to see a movie. So I called up my sister Lydia to see if she could keep Noah for the night. Of course she said yes. i dont think she has every said no when it comes to watching Natalie and Noah. Well the movie we wanted to see didnt start till 10pm. WAAAAAAAY to late for us to go to. I am usually in bed by 11. We ended up renting a few movies and cuddled up on the couch to watch them. It wasn't the most exciting night but it was still fun. Although my babies are my world so is my husband. Every now and then we need a break from all the barbie's, bottles and binkies. We are just so greatful that there are so many people in our lives that love our children and want to spend just as much time with them as we do. Gotta love all the Mimi's, Papa's, Gramma's, Grampa's and Aunt's out there.
