Baby fever....I never really understood what people were talking about they would say "I just saw so and so's baby for the first time and now I have a bad case of baby fever." that is until now. EVERYONE around me is either pregnant or they just had a baby.
I finally got to meet my niece for the first time last weekend! Bryleigh Grace enter the world on October 17th. She is just the sweetest, tiniest little peanut. After holding her for a but this weekend I went and picked up Isla and it hit me SHE IS HUGE. Not really but compared to a 3 week old my 6 month old seems like a giant. I also realized as I watch Bryleigh just lay there, barely moving a muscle that Isla is no longer my tiny, snuggley, little baby. She is now my 15 lb, rolling, baby food, almost crawling half a year old child.
I now understand the term baby fever. And when it hits it hit hard. I am hoping like all fevers that it can be cured with a few tylenols but...I doubt it. The hubby says we are DONE with babies. I on the other hand could handle having just one more. But we will just have to wait and see. It also doesn't help that I have gone to 2 babyshowers in the past 3 weeks and I have 2 more before the year is up. At least it give me an excuse to go shopping :)

1 week down
Last week was Natalie's first full week of school. Things are really going great! Everyday I look forward to her getting off the bus, running across the yard yelling "Mommy! Mommy! Guess what I learned today?" Over the weekend she oust different things and tell me if they were a solid, liquid or gas. She is getting so smart.
Tonight is her schools "Back to School" night. She is so excited to show us her classroom and for us to meet her teacher. The only thing she isn't looking forward to is taking Noah with us. She asked if he could go to grandma's. When I asked why she informed me that he annoys her and she doesn't want him to go. I'm not quite sure what a 2 year old does to annoy a 6 year old but whatever it is he must do it.
On a unrelated note...last Friday was the hubbies golden birthday! We didn't do a whole lot to celebrate. We just hung out around the house. Although we did go to his parents house for Mario's pizza (his favorite shrimp and black olives) and DQ icecream cake. And what was his fav gift this year you ask....his pressure cooker of course!

Lions and Tigers and Bears....Oh My
And otters and snakes and every animal under the sun. Over the weekend we surprised the kids and took a mini family vaca to Nebraska. On Saturday we loaded up the truck and hit the road. Bryan and I were in the front, my mom in the middle seat, and Natalie and Noah in the back. We decided to leave Isla with Bry's parents. Even though I was sad to leave her I knew thr bigger kids would have more fun without her. That way we didn't have to constantly have to stop to feed her and change her. And I think is parents were pretty excited to have her for 3 days.
We left Saturday morning around 10 am. We stopped in Davenport around 1 for lunch. We went to a family owned restraunt called The Machine Shed. We have eaten there a few time before and are never disapointed. Noah loved it. Mainly because of the tractors both outside and inside the restraunt. We finally arrived in Council Bluffs Iowa around 7. After checking in we got a bite to eat and went to bed.
Sunday morning we went down for breakfast and got ready. The kids still had no idea where we were going. When we got to the Omaha Zoo they were so suprised. The even bigger surprise was that Aunt La La, Uncle K-dawg and their cousin Aiden would be at the same zoo the same day! The look on their faces when they walked up to us was priceless.
They has such a great day at the zoo. We didn't get to see it all in one day so we decided to go back on Monday too. Natalie's favorite part of the zoo was the aquarium. She was amazed by all the differet types of fish. She was so excited to see the sharks swimming above us. She kept telling me "one day I'm gonna swim with sharks like that" she is the only 6 year old I know that would rather watch shark week than the Disney channel. Noah really seemed to like the petting zoo. He didn't want to leave the goats alone. (I know what type of pet he wants) he was also in awe of the penguins. He would run up and down the tank as they swam back and forth. I barely even looked at the animals. I was busy watching their little faces every time they saw a new animal. Although I did put Bryan incharge of Nat and Noah when we were looking at the monkeys. It is my favorite part of any zoo. It is a great zoo to take the family to. I highly recomended it and can see us going back very soon. This time with Isla.
Although it was a VERY long drive it was well worth it. Even if I did have to hear "Where are we going?","Are we almost there?" and "I have to go potty!" every 15 minutes.
